Miller Beach
An eclectic, arts-oriented neighborhood at the western gateway to the Indiana Dunes National Park, Miller Beach offers direct lake access, the Paul H. Douglas Environmental Center, and a South Shore station with ample parking — all at the most accessible price point along the Indiana shoreline.
Ogden Dunes
A wooded residential community with its own South Shore Line station, Ogden Dunes combines direct lakefront access with an active civic culture rooted in the Save the Dunes conservation movement. Strong Portage Township schools and convenient Chicago commuter access make it one of the most practical shoreline communities for year-round living.
Dune Acres
Surrounded entirely by Indiana Dunes National Park, Dune Acres is the most private and preservation-minded of the shoreline communities — a small incorporated town with controlled access, strictly limited parking, and a culture of environmental stewardship that has kept its character unchanged for decades.
Porter Beach
One of the oldest shoreline communities in the Indiana Dunes region, Porter Beach sits sandwiched between Indiana Dunes State Park and federally protected land — a naturally secluded position. Social, unpretentious, and wide-ranging in price, it's one of the more accessible entry points on the Indiana shoreline.
Beverly Shores
Famous for its Century of Progress Architectural District — five homes relocated by barge from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair — Beverly Shores combines national park adjacency, a Dark Sky designation, and a strong conservation ethic. Annual tours of the World's Fair homes sell out within an hour of tickets going on sale.
Michigan City Beach Communities
Northeast of Michigan City's downtown, a string of shoreline communities runs along the lake toward the Michigan state line — from the lively, dune-backed streets of Sheridan Beach to the colorful cottage enclave of Beachwalk and the secluded, wooded privacy of Shoreland Hills. Each has its own character, but all share direct access to Lake Michigan and the energy of a city just minutes away.
Long Beach
Located just beyond Michigan City, Long Beach combines small-town charm with a long stretch of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline. Many homes offer direct or near-direct beach access, making location, orientation, and access points especially important in this tightly held market.
The town's numbered beach stops and wooded setting contribute to a classic lakefront experience valued by both year-round residents and seasonal homeowners.
Gateway to Harbor Country®
East of Long Beach, the shoreline grows quieter and more wooded as Indiana gives way to Michigan. Duneland Beach, Michiana Shores, and a handful of smaller communities nestled along this stretch share a character more akin to New Buffalo and Harbor Country® than to the communities to the west — private, unhurried, and deeply connected to the lake. For buyers with an eye on the state line, this corridor offers some of the most distinctive shoreline real estate in the region.
Chesterton
Chesterton is the kind of town that earns genuine loyalty — a walkable downtown anchored by the beloved European Market, excellent Duneland schools, and residents who are fiercely protective of its small-town identity. From historic neighborhoods near the town center to newer developments, it offers a wide range of homes for families and professionals alike.
Porter
Porter sits at the threshold of the parks — home to Indiana Dunes National Park headquarters and the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center, with the Dune Park South Shore station connecting the town directly to Chicago. Quieter and more residential than neighboring Chesterton, Porter's deep connection to the parks and the lake gives it a sense of place that belies its size.
Burns Harbor
Burns Harbor fuses the region's industrial heritage with genuine environmental ambition — a young, growing town with modern infrastructure, top-rated Duneland schools, and a civic seriousness about what it's becoming. For buyers who prioritize value, space, and long-term potential, it's one of the most forward-looking choices in the Indiana Dunes region.
Valparaiso
Valparaiso is a thriving regional hub known for its revitalized downtown, cultural amenities, and strong sense of community. Its diverse housing options—ranging from historic homes to modern developments—make it especially attractive to families, professionals, and those looking for an active, connected lifestyle inland.
Michigan City
Michigan City is La Porte County's lakefront anchor — a city of working waterfront energy, a long sandy beach, and a downtown that has been quietly reinventing itself. Its range of housing options, accessible price points, and direct Lake Michigan frontage make it a compelling choice for buyers who want genuine shoreline lifestyle without the scarcity of the smaller enclaves to the west.
Crown Point
Crown Point is Lake County's historic seat and one of the region's most popular destinations for Illinois relocators. A restored courthouse square, strong schools, and newer residential developments attract buyers seeking suburban infrastructure and lower property taxes — with the Indiana Dunes and Lake Michigan still within comfortable reach.
Before she sold homes, Bonnie told their stories.
With a background in television and marketing, Bonnie spent years helping audiences fall in love with places they’d never stepped inside. That experience shaped how she approaches real estate today — because great marketing isn’t about features. It’s about feeling.
Along the Lake Michigan shoreline — and throughout the surrounding Duneland and inland communities — every home has a story shaped by its setting, its people, and its purpose. Whether it’s a modern escape in the dunes, a charming home in a family-friendly neighborhood, or a cherished cottage in the woods, Bonnie’s role is to bring that story to life and connect it with the right buyer — thoughtfully, strategically, and with care.
